We have decided the next chapter of our lives will be joining the family of "Full Time Rving" Since we are Canadian, we have to ensure we spend at least 6 months in Canada,but the remainder will be spent in the warmer states of the US. You got it......these Manitobans have had almost enough of the freezing winters Manitoba has to offer.
Its amazing the roller coaster of emotions you go through when deciding on this life style. Bill and I are in the planning stages as well as the gathering stage. We are gathering as much information as we can to try to get a handle of what is required and what needs to be done, before we embark on this new adventure.
We are in the process of looking at floor plans which we can live with. We have pretty much decided the 5th wheel will be the better fit for us. I know I would like large windows, and at least a couple of slide outs. Once we know what rig, then we will have to decide on the right truck to haul it.
We have started to look at things differently now. Instead of buying "stuff", we now look at if we can use it in the RV. Its funny how what you used to just pick up, is just a want, not what you need. We have done a purge of our bedroom closet. No doubt it will be purged a few times yet before the due date of our adventure. We need to start to look at what we will use in the next few years, and just what we can sell or give away before that time.
I can't stress the importance of following blogs. We are learning so much by following and reading them. Thank you to those before us for helping to make our way a little less bumpy!
